the strive for sustainable products
The historic and prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology employed Max-R bins to help drive their zero-landfill goals due to our products’ durability and proven success.
Discovery
- Desired Sustainable Products
- Wanted to Match Campus Architecture
- Needed Flexibility to Change Streams
After the initial consultation and in order to make the goals set in place by MIT a reality, our ideation team went to work in conceiving the best solution to the pain points addressed.
Concept
In order to support MIT’s sustainability initiatives, we ensured that proper labeling and interchangeable streams were an option to keep their program future-proofed.
- Chose Recycle Across America® Labels for Consistency
- Verde Collection was Best Aesthetic Fit
- Interchangeable Streams Granted Flexibility
Visualization
Our design team crafted a 3D rendering with all of the desired customization. Once the configurations, graphics, and colors are approved by MIT, our engineering team drafted a functioning proof for final sign-off.
The Results
They speak for themselves, don’t they? After piloting to gain feedback, MIT purchased the rest of their receptacles with Recycle Across America’s labels around their campus.
